I’d like to share my personal experience while I was traveling back to Mexico from the US during this pandemic.
The travel date is Sep 8, 2020.
I flew from Anchorage,AK to Seattle then Redeye to Atlanta. After that finally Cancún. All of these airports required wearing masks.

We had quarantine life from April 1 to the second week of June 2020 in Playa del Carmen. The very energetic and fun main street " 5th avenue " was total ghost town. Since the second week of June 2020, the restaurants and hotels have been opening little by little. The cenotes have also been opening and welcoming tourists.
Now we are ready to take you out to dive!!!
Please see our Covid protocols for your diving tour.
Everyone's safety is our priority.

The weather this summer has been so wet. It is really what we can call " rainy season".
In the beginning of this year I saw the news which warned the increased hurricanes due to global warming.
Actually the water temperature in the ocean this year has been remarkably high.
I had been working in U.S. Virgin Islands for 7 years before moving to Playa del Carmen and been working in the Caribbean water. I actually noticed the warmth this year.

We went to Cenote Car Wash which is located near Tulum, about 1 hour drive from Playa del Carmen.
This cenote also has large open water area like Cenote Eden the other day.
|
It's been a while since last dive in Cenote Jardin del Eden.
I was a little worried about the weather as it was raining the night before.
And the weather, sun light , matters in this cenote!

I went out for lunch with my Japanese friends today. One lives in Tulum and another is visiting Playa del Carmen.
You know what we do when 3 girls get together is TALKING!!! We talked for hours!!!
But none of the restaurant staff gave us any pressure on us to leave. Very polite and pleasant.
